Why it works

The same finish on both halves: deep red with black webbing, on a blade and on a knuckle shield. Web placement is decided by the pattern index, and copies with a web centred on the blade trade well above the rest. The M9 Bayonet is among the most traded knives, so landing a specific web is a question of patience rather than luck.

What it costs

With M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web in Minimal Wear and Specialist Gloves | Crimson Web in Field-Tested, the set comes to $884. M9 Bayonet | Crimson Web is 87% of that; in Field-Tested it is $506, which saves $262 and is hard to spot in first person.
