This is a custom-designed balisong, commonly known as a butterfly knife. The defining characteristic of this weapon is the fan-like opening of a freely pivoting blade, allowing rapid deployment or concealment. As a result, butterfly knives are outlawed in many countries. It has been color case-hardened through the application of wood charcoal at high temperatures.

Questions about Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened

How much does Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened cost?
Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened starts at about $651 and runs up to around $1,237 depending on wear. The cheapest wear is Well-Worn at $651, and Factory New is the most expensive at $1,237. Prices here are pulled from live market listings and refreshed daily, so treat them as a starting point rather than a fixed quote.
Which wear should you buy for Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened?
Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened exists between float 0 and 1, which is what decides the wear you can get. Here Factory New costs roughly 1.9x what Well-Worn does, so the question is whether the difference is visible from a first-person view. On darker and busier finishes it usually is not, and the cheaper wear does the same job in a loadout.
What case is Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened from?
Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case. Opening for a specific skin is a bad bet at almost any odds, so buying it outright on the market is nearly always the cheaper route.
Does Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened have a StatTrak version?
Yes. A StatTrak version of Butterfly Knife | Case Hardened exists and counts your kills with the Butterfly Knife. StatTrak copies are a separate item on the market and normally trade above the plain version.
