This is a custom-designed balisong, commonly known as a butterfly knife. The defining characteristic of this weapon is the fan-like opening of a freely pivoting blade, allowing rapid deployment or concealment. As a result, butterfly knives are outlawed in many countries. It has been painted by airbrushing transparent paints that fade together over a chrome base coat.

Questions about Butterfly Knife | Fade

How much does Butterfly Knife | Fade cost?
Butterfly Knife | Fade starts at about $2,076 and runs up to around $4,179 depending on wear. The cheapest wear is Factory New at $2,076, and Minimal Wear is the most expensive at $4,179. Prices here are pulled from live market listings and refreshed daily, so treat them as a starting point rather than a fixed quote.
Which wear should you buy for Butterfly Knife | Fade?
Butterfly Knife | Fade exists between float 0 and 0.08, which is what decides the wear you can get. Here Minimal Wear costs roughly 2x what Factory New does, so the question is whether the difference is visible from a first-person view. On darker and busier finishes it usually is not, and the cheaper wear does the same job in a loadout.
What case is Butterfly Knife | Fade from?
Butterfly Knife | Fade drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case. Opening for a specific skin is a bad bet at almost any odds, so buying it outright on the market is nearly always the cheaper route.
Does Butterfly Knife | Fade have a StatTrak version?
Yes. A StatTrak version of Butterfly Knife | Fade exists and counts your kills with the Butterfly Knife. StatTrak copies are a separate item on the market and normally trade above the plain version.
