This is a custom-designed balisong, commonly known as a butterfly knife. The defining characteristic of this weapon is the fan-like opening of a freely pivoting blade, allowing rapid deployment or concealment. As a result, butterfly knives are outlawed in many countries. It has been spray-painted in a sun-dappled pattern.

Questions about Butterfly Knife | Scorched

How much does Butterfly Knife | Scorched cost?
Butterfly Knife | Scorched starts at about $458 and runs up to around $745 depending on wear. The cheapest wear is Field-Tested at $458, and Battle-Scarred is the most expensive at $745. Prices here are pulled from live market listings and refreshed daily, so treat them as a starting point rather than a fixed quote.
Which wear should you buy for Butterfly Knife | Scorched?
Butterfly Knife | Scorched exists between float 0.06 and 0.8, which is what decides the wear you can get. Here Battle-Scarred costs roughly 1.6x what Field-Tested does, so the question is whether the difference is visible from a first-person view. On darker and busier finishes it usually is not, and the cheaper wear does the same job in a loadout.
What case is Butterfly Knife | Scorched from?
Butterfly Knife | Scorched drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case. Opening for a specific skin is a bad bet at almost any odds, so buying it outright on the market is nearly always the cheaper route.
Does Butterfly Knife | Scorched have a StatTrak version?
Yes. A StatTrak version of Butterfly Knife | Scorched exists and counts your kills with the Butterfly Knife. StatTrak copies are a separate item on the market and normally trade above the plain version.
